“Winter holidays with snow don’t always have to be about skiing, so if you fancy something different try Lapland. Most people think of Lapland as dark all day and extremely cold. In December/January yes it is, however mid-February onwards the days are light from 7.30am to 5.30pm. The daytime temperatures are around -4 degrees with blue skies, so perfect for ski and other winter activities. This was my third trip to Levi in Lapland. A direct flight from Manchester and only a 15 minute transfer to the…

In mid December, I was fortunate enough to go with Classic Collection Holidays on their Madeira Christmas Lights educational , where we were to visit both resort style and Quinta style properties. After a (very rare!) smooth landing at Funchal with EasyJet we were taken to the Hotel Porto Mare for our four night stay .     Resort Style Properties Viewed – The Porto Mare is a lovely 4* property situated in an ideal location about a 20 minutes’ walk from Funchal old town. The hotel is…

As this is a smaller conference it was a great opportunity to network with suppliers and the girls really made good use of the opportunity, meeting lots of new people. The short flight from Manchester with Aer Lingus was fabulous and the airport is only 10 minutes from the city centre…

“My ideal holiday is laying on a sun lounger, drinking cocktails and coming home all relaxed with a fabulous tan! Theme parks & water parks are a nightmare for me so this was going to be a holiday outside of my comfort zone. I never usually pre-plan my days whilst on holiday – however that was all about to change! A year before travel, Virgin released their flights and Disney offered the ‘dine-around’ offer which they do at certain times of the year. My son was going to…

A busy but fantastic trip, here’s what she had to say on her return –   After a relaxing flight with Eva Air into Bangkok and a quick hours flight with Bangkok air i arrived in Chiang Mai , Thailands second  biggest city located in the north of the country. Despite stillunder military curfew the city was still buzzing , the night market and bars were still very much alive and the Thai people still going about their everyday lives. Chiang Mai’s highlight for me is the Elephant…

Helen has just returned from her family holiday in Fuerteventura with her husband & 7 year old son. She stayed at the 5* Sheraton at Caleta de Fuste and says it has a relaxing atmosphere and is very child friendly. There is fine dining as well as the buffet restaurant. The bedrooms are large & spacious and there is plenty of sunbathing space around the many pools (2 are heated). There is also a good entertainment programme for the kids. The hotel is situated on a golden sandy…
