Karen went on holiday to Corfu –

“In August I spent 2 weeks on the island of Corfu with my husband and 2 children for our annual Summer holiday.
We chose to stay in the resort of Sidari as there is something there to suit us all.
I like a quiet holiday with nice restaurants, lots of scenery and a good sandy beach, whereas my girls like it a little busier with shops and a clear blue sea for snorkelling,
Corfu ticked all our boxes.
Sidari is a popular tourist resort in the north of Corfu with lots of souvenir shops, restaurants and a fantastic sandy beach.
To the east of Sidari is an area called Canal d’Amour or the channel of love. This is a beautiful area with lots of rock formations that have formed a series of canals and caves. These can be reached by a number of footpaths and steps making it a great place for a scenic photo.
We hired a motor boat from Sidari and sailed past the Canal d’amour to Laggas Beach where there is some amazing scenery. My daughter also enjoyed diving in to the crystal clear sea from our little boat.
We visited a lovely restaurant on the cliffs looking over Laggas Beach called 7th Heaven which had two parts to it. There is a lively area playing summer music to enjoy a cocktail or two and then venture upstairs to the restaurant and enjoy a fabulous meal whilst gazing at the stunning sunset.
We also visited the waterpark near Corfu town which was a fun packed day at a reasonable price
Tere are so many other excursions you can do from Sidari including horse riding through the lush green countryside and olive groves or a designer shopping trip to Corfu town.
We chose to do a boat trip across to Paxos and Anti Paxos. Paxos is a an enchanting island but I would recommend holidaying there rather than experience it on
a day trip.
I would not say Sidari offers you the traditional Greek charm due to the way it has grown over the years but with its vast array of evening entertainment and fabulous beach it will suit all tastes.”
