photo (10)I have just returned from a family holiday to the magical island of Ibiza.

We stayed in the resort of Es Cana.

Es Cana is a small friendly resort with a good choice of bars and restaurants, a crescent-shaped sandy beach, a small harbour for fishing boats, and home to the famous weekly Hippy Market.

We spent many days relaxing on the sandy beach; we also visited the capital (Eivissa) Ibiza town with its many designer boutiques and stylish shops.

There is also the spectacular Dalt Vila (ancient grand walled ‘upper town’) with its cobbled alleyways and romantic restaurants to Ibiza Port where you will find some of the world’s biggest super yachts moored for the summer.

I would definitely return to Ibiza for my family summer holiday.

Paul recently went to Tuscany, Italy on his holiday. Here is his report …

I recently did a wonderful road trip around Tuscany taking in the wine regions, the Cities and the beaches. My journey began with a flight to Pisa where I picked up a car and set off into the Tuscan Hills. It was an easy drive from the airport & after an hour we reached our hotel in Artimino, perched high on a hill with stunning views and its own winery.

Tuscany PJDThis area was a great base to explore the amazing hamlets of San Gimignano, Sienna, Greve and the wonderful Chianti region but still only 30 minutes from the magical city of Florence. I was surprised to find some wonderful shopping Malls on the outskirts of Florence which were very reasonably priced indeed, so if shopping is your thing then this area is for you! We spent 3 days in Florence visiting  wonderful sights like the Duomo, The Uffizi, Pitti Palace & The Ponte Vecchio Bridge.  There were so many wonderful restaurants. The Italian rail system is so good, efficient, clean and very cheap that it makes it a great way to explore the area if you don’t want to drive. To finish our Tuscan Adventure we headed for the coast and stayed in Lido De Camaiore, the busy seaside resort that offers a wonderful beach, good restaurants and again has easy access to Pisa and Lucca which are a must. The resort of Forte De Marmi has chic shops and a wonderful beach.

If any of this interests you let me put a trip together for you and explore the wonders and the Food & Wines of Tuscany.
