Paul went to Crete last week….

“I was recently invited to visit the Luxury properties of the Elounda Group in Elounda, Crete.The three beach front properties are very different catering for both families and couples along with a Relais & Chateaux section.The gentle bays with clear blue waters offer great safe bathing along with good opportunities for snorkeling and other water sports. There are 7 restaurants to choose from offering wonderful seafood and fine dining.The complex has accommodation to suit everyone some with private pools which are excellent for families and couple alike.The complex is just 5 mins from the village of Elounda, 8 mins from Plakia and 16 mins from Aghios Nickoloas where you can wander around the local streets which have wonderful seafront restaurants – all still at very good prices and of course with wonderful sea views.. (Average starter 4/5 euro and main course 10/ 15 euro) From here you can also pay a visit to the island of Splinilonga which was a former leper colony, however today a popular tourist attraction.
