Idyllic Elounda….

Jackie recently went on holiday to Crete  and stayed at the Elounda Bay Palace Hotel in Elounda, which was absolutely perfect for a relaxing typically Greek holiday.

Elounda is about an hour from the airport and is a typical Greek village/small resort. It has plenty of bars, restaurants and up-market shops. The lovely harbour is home to fishing boats and tourist boats alike and it’s easy to take a day trip cruise from there.

The Elounda Bay Palace is a 4.5 star property within easy walking distance of Elounda which is fabulous for an after dinner stroll. The hotel is based on half board and is a buffet restaurant. You can however choose to visit one of the hotels other restaurants and you get 30 euro credit per person. The hotel is joined to its sister hotel The Elounda Beach Hotel which is a 5 star property and is stunning. It’s very easy to walk between the two properties and there are 8 different dining venues between the two properties that you can use.

The properties are set in a beautiful, picturesque bay with several beaches to choose from as well as the various pools. The hotels both have individual villas with or without private pools in addition to the hotel rooms.
