Estapona

“I’ve just been away to Estapona in southern Spain for a few days and was very pleasantly surprised!

I had been at a conference in Cadiz and decided to stay on for a bit of a holiday. My flight was from Malaga and I’ve stayed there before (a fabulous city break destination) and I’ve also stayed in and around Torremolinos/Benalmadena areas so thought I would venture further south and try Estapona.

It is a longer transfer time which may put people off (a little over an hour by car) but once there it’s worth it. It is more ‘Spanish’ than resorts further up which is really nice. It has great shopping, beautiful beaches, some lovely restaurants & bars and a really pretty old town which you could spend hours wandering around. If you play golf, you are spoiled for choice in this area and Marbella and Puerto Banus are very near so you can easily visit and spend hours people watching!

The weather in southern Spain is so appealing all year round and the short flight time from Leeds Bradford is so convenient that a short break or longer holiday to Estapona is definitely recommended!”
