Karen went to Lapland!

Karen has just returned from Lapland with one of our amazing specialist operators.

“I flew from Leeds Bradford airport and after a short 3 hour flight we landed in Econtedio, It was then a 50 minute transfer to the Davvi Artic Lodge. This homely hotel is situated in the town of Karesuando which in on the Finish side of the border between Finland and Sweden, 300km north of the arctic circle.Karesuando is also home to Sweden’s most northerly church which is a lovely walk from the Davvi Artic Lodge across the border bridge and is definitely worth the effort.I was delighted to witness the amazing Aurora Borealis, what a treat!We all fell in love with the huskies whilst on the sledding excursion where you get the chance to mush your own team!We were also pulled in a sleigh by Dolly the reindeer on an unforgettable ride through the wilderness. We also took the northern lights snowmobile trip over a frozen Lake, which was amazing! Words can not say how fantastic this trip was, and I’m so glad that I went.
