Hollie’s IKOS experience….

Hollie has just returned from the IKOS Andalucia in Spain and boy was she impressed!

Firstly, we have to say that the initial cost for this group of hotels isn’t cheap but don’t let that put you off without looking at what you get for your money. The fact that so many guests are desperate to rebook and try all of the IKOS hotels speaks for itself! The hotel was full to capacity when she was there last week and is full until it closes on 31st October.

IKOS is a luxury family concept but you won’t feel like you’re in a family hotel as there are so many different areas that these resorts are equally desirable to couples too. IKOS is a Premium All Inclusive resort and nothing is too much trouble. The staff are incredible and you will certainly feel like you’ve been spoilt on a fabulous holiday.

When you arrive at the hotel fresh from your private transfer the check in team will assist you to scan a QR code on your phone which links to the hotels WhatsApp and the dedicated concierge team who work 9am till 11pm every day. You can literally WhatsApp them any questions, eg restaurant reservations, drinks/snacks delivering to your room. For example if you have a nice Rose Wine at dinner, you can take a photo of the bottle and send it to them and ask for a bottle to be put in your room every day. Or if you have a preference in the brand of your Vodka, send a WhatsApp and it will be delivered to your room.

Each hotel has multiple restaurants. The one in Dassia, Corfu has 9, Andalucía 7 and the others have around 6. Every property also has Dine Out options whereby 1 or 2 restaurants in the local town have an agreement that you can eat there and the hotel will take you there and you get a night out in a local restaurant but don’t pay anything as IKOS pays your bill!

As if all this isn’t enough, they also have ‘Deluxe’ level rooms which are better located rooms, extra amenities in the room such as Tattinger Champagne upon arrival and throughout your stay plus prior to arrival you can pre book 5 dinner reservations (normally only do 3 pre arrival). You also get 2 x 20 min complimentary massages per room, a dedicated deluxe guest pool & bar & restaurant area, a complimentary dinner on the beach and also a packing and unpacking service.

Hollie said the food is exceptional and the amount of choice is amazing. All menus have been designed by Michelin Star chefs who oversee the design. You can have A la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner every day and as many dishes as you wish. 24 hour room service all included and you can have breakfast in your room daily free of charge. Premium drinks are included, and even if the bar is closing you can ask for another bottle of your preferred wine to take with you! (ultra premium drinks for the deluxe rooms)

Another USP is that from next season Tesla cars are included at all properties. Each room gets 1 day free car hire In a Tesla to explore local area. You can even ask for a picnic lunch to take with you!

If you are an active person there are indoor and outdoor gyms, bikes to rent, tennis courts, volleyball court, and other non-motorised water activities. Plus all guests can have 30 mins of paddle boarding free every day and other non-motorised water activities. All motorised water sports are at an extra cost. There is Pilates and Yoga every morning, water aerobics, HIIT classes, boot camps and also Crossfit courses – all free of charge. At IKOS Andalucia each guest gets 1 complimentary round of golf at a local course near Marbella.
